Please enjoy this blog entry from one our ministry partners, "Brian Klepacki". Hey readers! Can you believe that this year is almost over? It never fails that time doesn’t slow down. And as a father, business owner, and coach I can be the first one to tell you that time FLIES!!!
I am so looking forward to next year and I say that with much gratitude for everything that went on in 2015. It seems that every year isn’t necessarily better than the year before but certain events within each year make that particular year memorable.
One of those events that happened for me in 2015 was meeting Chuck Peterman with FCA Pinellas. We clicked right away and I knew that I wanted to be a part of what he was doing along side of many others in the county. Having gone through FCA at Seminole High School when I was a student there, I have always appreciated what this life changing organization has done and is continuing to do for the schools within this county and that’s why I have partnered with FCA.
As a strength and conditioning coach I am in constant communication with student athletes and their parents, as well as some coaches. There really is no better platform than to reach out and mentor to these kids (and some parents too) that I interact with on a weekly basis (sometimes daily). I have found it very rewarding for both the athlete and myself to invest more than my time with these athletes. I invest my attention and my friendship to establish trust and a safe haven with these kids and now that I am connected with FCA it’s an even easier opportunity to talk with these kids not only about FCA but also about their salvation. It’s truly a blessing.
So as 2016 rolls in, I am more than excited to further my relationship with FCA and all that it has in store this upcoming year. I’m excited to be a part of this blog and also excited to see all the digital channels that FCA is creating to better assist Pinellas County. I can’t stress it enough that the students of this county desperately needs FCA and there’s no better way to connect to everyone than through social media and a blog. I encourage you to follow this blog, as I know the content will radically change your life and also the lives of others.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I would love to meet you someday maybe on the field, at an FCA huddle or at a church service. Either way, please make the commitment to be a part of FCA and help us better this county and everyone in it.
Thanks, God bless, and Happy New Year!
